The Kiwanis Club of Tacoma is celebrating its 100th Anniversary with a special Centennial Project: a playlot at the Adams St. Family Campus.

It is designed to bring joy to the usual 72 children whose homeless families temporarily reside at the Family Campus.

Build Teams of volunteers spent Saturday and Sunday (May 18-19) with the assembly of the playground structure. At the end of the build days, just a few tasks remain: curing of the concrete foundations, playground underlayment and surface, fencing, landscaping and benches.

Special thanks to the Kiwanis Club of Tacoma Foundation, the Kiwanis Children’s Fund, the Names Family Foundation, the PNW Kiwanis Foundation, PlayCreation and contributing members of the community and Kiwanis Club of Tacoma.
