The Kiwanis Club of Tacoma joins Kiwanis International and PNW Kiwanis District in waiving its new member fees for new members joining in the balance of the program year. New member initiation fees are now $0. Dues are not assessed on new members.
The Kiwanis International Board on April 22, 2020 approved the waiver of the Kiwanis International new member fee for any new members who join existing Kiwanis clubs between April 22, 2020, and September 30, 2020. Kiwanis International will not collect new member fees for districts during this period.
Insurance and the magazine subscription are fees assessed in subsequent years. Annual dues are billed on members after their initial new member period beginning October 1.
On April 23rd, Governor Melanie Bozak called for Pacific Northwest District Board of Officers and Trustees to approve a waiver of the district’s initiation fees.
The PNW board took action on Kiwanis International’s recommendation to waive new member fees for the remainder of the 2019-2020 fiscal year and unanimously approved waiving the new member fee charged by the District for any new members who join existing clubs in the balance of the program year.
On approval, the Kiwanis Club of Tacoma did waive and will not collect new member initiation fees for the period April 22, 2020 through September 30, 2020.
